Hi Brad, As promised, here is a finite element mesh for test cases 5 and 6. I have created 2 models, one for folks that will use codes that ultilze split nodes (i.e. no coincident nodes on fault interface) and one for folks who will define slip using coincident nodes. Attached are the following files: model5.jpg: picture of finite element model faultnodes1.jpg: picture showing node labeling on fault for split-node models faultnodes2.jpg: picture showing node labeling on fault with coincident nodes case5.deck: ascii file with nodes and elements for split-node model case5_coin.deck: ascii file with nodes and elements for coincident node models Not that I use a mixture of 6 sided and 8 sided elements. I denote the number of nodes for the element in column 2 of the decks for easier assimilation. If anything is not clear, please let me know. If someone desires a tet model or a brick model with only 8 sided elements, please let me know (please specify whether you want coincident nodes). With regards to results, where/how do you want the test case results described. Have a great holiday weekend, Andy
